If you've ever had anything to do with web design or web development you'll probably have had to re-code a lot of your site to work well in Internet Explorer 6. IE6 is largely a piece of c*$p (hey, ask any web designer) but Microsoft has made some progress with IE7.
Google Labs has created a javascript script(!) to force IE6 to behave like IE7 so you don't need to work too hard to have your site look decent in that awful browser.
This is what the 'About' section says:
IE7-js is a JavaScript library to make Microsoft Internet Explorer behave like a standards-compliant browser. It fixes many HTML and CSS issues and makes transparent PNG work correctly under IE5 and IE6.
