There's an exciting new feature Google rolled out for its GMail users this past week: Themes. At last count there were 31 themes to choose frm, though 16 of these are just colour variations of the same theme. Still I expect there'll be shed-loads of theme designers firing up their design software to produce more.

To activate, click on the Settings link and then Themes. Click on a theme and it activates instantly.

LG Prada II phone and watch

The new mobile phone from LG, the LG Prada II (KF900), should go on sale any day now and Orange is offering the first 3,000 UK customers, for free, the Prada Link watch which connects up to the phone wirelessly to inform the wearer of incoming calls, the person calling and sounds an alarm when the phone goes out of range.

After the first 3,000 customers the watch will be sold for an extra £200.

Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) is back on UK tv screens in the 2 hour special television movie 24 Redemption to be screened on Sky1 on Monday 24th (coincidence?) November. Shot in South Africa, it's a change from the usual 'terrorism in America' angle the tv series usually takes. Also stars Robert Carlyle.  Watch the trailer below...

For all you trekkies out there, and yes I'm a bit of a Trekkie myself, here's a trailer of the new Star Trek movie, due out in summer 2009.

Produced and directed by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Fringe) and starring Leonard Nimoy, Winona Ryder, Eric Bana, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto (Heroes), this Star Trek movie looks like it'll be a whole lot better than the previous movies, which I think were just barely above average (sorry).

If you have a Google account and you've logged into it today then you may have noticed a change to the search results page interface. If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet check out the short video below...

Google have decided, after a few months of testing, to make the search results page, for logged in users, a little interactive. Following on from social media, you now have control over the results when you run a search. You can prioritise the results yourself rather than have Google do it for you so that you decide what the most important result is and more that to the top of the page. The result is that the next time you run the same search, again only when logged in, you get the results you've 'created'.
