Doing some ad size mapping for a NEROdigital WordPress client today, for Google’s DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) platform. The size-mapping helps the platform determine which ads to display based on the size of the screen the page is being viewed on e.g. no point in displaying wide leaderboards on a mobile screen. This helps prevent ad impressions that have little or no impact; in fact a user is likely to be annoyed when a wide ad displays on their small screen
